Blacklisting and Spam Aliasing

Beyond checking that your email is legal and appropriate, make sure that your online reputation is good.
Reputation data by domain name and IP is available from such sources as IronPort’s SenderBase.org and CipherTrust’s TrustedSource.org.
You can also check DNSstuff.com to see if your IP address is currently on any blacklist.
We’ve been having to look into this because our domain name has been used as an alias address for a couple of spammers.
We only know about it when the email bounces and is thus delivered to us. Typically, it’s from something like trhisbbr@datadome.com. When we receive an out-of-office reply instead of a bounce, we send them an explanatory email.
Does anyone have suggestions for dealing with this theft of business site’s address as an alias in someone else’s spam emails?
Beyond tracking what information there is in the full header of the email, I haven’t yet seen an effective plan of action.
